The Informers movie 2008 Review

Note that this movie is about a book called the informer so if you've read this book then you would like to see the movie and continue on reading the review.

Well I watched this movie and it was Friday night. I thought it was like every other movie, a series of connected events took place in L.A. in 1983 and scenes that does not have a begining, middle and an end. But this movie is different, It displays loosly connected scenes of different characters with various stories.


I would classify this movie to be a Satire. It shows how a life of drugs, sex, violence and selfishness could be condemned using satire and targeted irony.


For example, If we take the characte of Christie "Amber Heard" ,who is a pretty actor, she plays the role of that beautiful whore who is definitely HIV positive and all of the people who slept with her are HIV positive as well without even her mind that fact [ Especially her boyfriend who lives with that] so this is an example the Director tries to satire that beauty is from within and skin-deep.

You will not find heroes in this film as it embodies apathy, decadence, moral decay, desparation and people who shows themselve as a happy entites externally but from within they're as needy for guidance as a little child is.

So the plotline is if you're fan with movies that start with a plot and has a typical end then this movie is not for you. If you like satire movies that are not necessarly display certain characters as the central point but embodies the general thought in different and separated scenes then this movie is for you

Azazil 2: Büyü Movie Review

The Story

Azazil 2 follow the story of Sedat who is a successful Businessman and his wife "Vahide" along with their daughter.
Problems started looming when Sedat's Mother started to push him to divorce his wife since Sedat's daughter is getting raised with her grandmother ( sedat's mother).

Meanwhile, Sedat's wife started to experience the effects and signs of supernatural forces possession.She hear freaky sounds whenever alons, envisions sort of weird images of scary creatures in her mind and acts wierd with her husband all that without even knowing whats going on with her.

Sedat's Affair

While his wife is acting weird, Sedat started to seek another relationship and this time it was with one of his employees who seemed to not being interested in his character rather with his wealth. Basically, This kind of affair is a natural outcome of a bad and non valued relationship between a husband and a wife.

Azazil unfolding

Soon enough, What was happening with Sedat's wife, which we can call as weird psychological events, turned to escalate to a more serious incidents which in some occurrenaces caused injuries to Vahide and even led her to hurt her own daughter.

Exorcist Intervention

Things started to get worse when Vahide, under the possession of Azazil, has stashed her own daughter in an isolated place in an attempt to hand her over to Jinnees. Sedat was adviced by the medical staff back when they were at the hospital to visit a sheikh or an exorcist on the belief that his wife is hunted by Jinnees.
The exorcist unleashed the hidden spoil and told sedat to catch up saving his daughter from his wife who was under complete possession by Azazil.
After saving and finding his daughter, Sedat had the exorcist treat his wife and get her out of Azazil possession

Who was the behind all of that?

You may not expect that Sedat's mother hatched a very malignant spoil to trouble his wife and make Sedat abandon her. As a result, Sedat abandoned his mother left her after finding out she was the main player behind all what happened.

The Movie's Perspective

A typical Turkish horror movie shows a different perspective on Devils, superantural forces and Jinnees. As with one Turkish scar movie, it shows that any possession or hunting by Jinnees is caused by a black magic or spoil made to seek vangance, revenge, personal interests or attain certain goals.
The movie displays what really happens in some layers of the Turkish society which reflects the religious culture and the unique tradition of some of the Muslim Communities

Making a Killing 2019 Movie Review

How did it start

Well, the story starts with Arthur Herring, Vincent and Christopher Lloyd being three morticians that work with buring and embalming the deads. The three found gold teeth and coins that belived to worth a good fortune.
Lloyed got arrested and he stashed his share of gold coins and teeth with Arthur on the promise that he would recieve them back when he is released.
Arthur and his brother stalled with giving Lloyed his share back when he got released.

Crime comes into the scene

As you may typically expect, Arthur and Vincent hatched an elaborate plan to execute and kill Lloyed. It all happened the night after Lloyed had a problem with a bartender who was forced to drop Lloyed off in his place as he was drunk.

The turning point

Orlando, a patriot and tough cop was sent off to the quaint small town at which the crime has occured. Orlando was faced with an envrionment that he took a while to understand its complexities. A small town with careless police department, Naive society and lowstate bartenders.
Orlando suspected Jesse the bartneder to be the responsible murderer untill the local police station was able to pursuade him that Jesse was not the actual fruit Orlando needs to chase.

The dispute that unleashed the truth

The complex and tangled love between Vincent and Connie [ a woman works in Arthurs' resturant] made him asking Arthur for his share of coins and gold teeth.
Vincent turned on his brother Arthur and ripped off some gold coins and teeth from Arthur's house as the latter was trying to keep Vincent under control.
Not long enough, Vincent went with the coins to sell them to a gang that dealt with his brother Arthur before in this business. Vincent did not know that he has been chased by The tenacious detective Orlando who went after him then wen further to investigate with the gang and ended up killing them all :)

The end

The movie ended with the comprehension of the fugitive Vincent who has beated his brother Arthur for his share. Arthuer ended up dead without being interrogated and questioned about the real strings of this story.
This movie embodied a twisted crime story based on true incidents while being on a low budget. The direction of the movie is fine, the acting was good and the tale is fairly interesting enough to keep the watcher's eye throughout.
